Job Description:
A company is looking for an Assistant Medical Director to
provide clinical expertise and promote high-quality, cost-effective
medical care.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the utilization review process and clinical
determinations
Assist in developing medical policy and clinical practice
guidelines
Guide the case management team to ensure quality care
coordination
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from
an accredited medical school
Minimum of 5 years of clinical care practice experience
Board Certification in a nationally recognized specialty
Active unrestricted medical license in the U.S. state of
residency
Physician reviewer experience in the insurance industry
preferred
